At Country Road, we stand by the belief that great design is timeless.
We create pieces that are beautifully simple, allowing you to come back to them year after year. Our commitment to quality means each garment is made to last, using premium fabrications and expert craftsmanship.
But we know that the needs of individual wardrobes change over time – lifestyles change and little people grow up to be big people.
When an item is ready to pass onto the next person, we partner with Red Cross, and have done so through Fashion Trade since 2011.
As part of Fashion Trade, our customers are rewarded with a $10 gift voucher for every pre-loved Country Road item they donate, helping the community and saving clothes from landfill.
At Head Office, we have Red Cross donation bins available for staff and recycle textile and shoe samples that can’t be donated, so they can be made into something new.
Since the program’s launch, Red Cross shops have received over 200,000 items of pre-loved Country Road items from brand and customer donations.
This not only prevents clothing ending up in landfill, but also raises much-needed funds for Red Cross. These funds go towards things like daily phone calls to help elderly Australians stay safe and independent at home or perhaps shelter for a family after a disaster.
Support this initiative and find your local Red Cross shop.
"Each year generous Australians donate over 2.5 million kilograms of clothing and other textiles to Red Cross. We keep those items out of the landfill and give them a second life."Richard Wood, Head of Retail, Australian Red Cross
