Our new denim campaign celebrates the fact that no matter what, you are the right fit for you. Always full of smiles and obvious adoration for each other, Newcastle’s Isabelle Cornish and Mitch Revs are each pursuing their dreams; Isabelle as an actress and Mitch as an artist. Here, we chat to them about how they are the right fit for themselves and each other.
Mitch: "Ahhh, there's no real romantic story here!"
Isabelle: "Mitch and I grew up in the street just near each other but didn't get a chance to connect until later down the track when we were both living in different locations. Our friendly neighbour Amy did the deed of setting Mitch and I up."
Mitch: "Iz and I had been speaking over Facebook for a couple of weeks. She invited me to a party she had at her place one night, probably assuming that I wouldn't turn up. It wasn’t until about twelve months later that we actually got together."
At what moment did you realise you were in love?
Mitch: "Izzy just mumbled under her breath "we still aren’t" and giggled."
Isabelle: "I think it was when we were a few weeks deep and I couldn't remember the last time I had been home."
Mitch: "Yeah I guess when you realised you have been connected at the hip for weeks on end."
How do you think you are the right fit for each other?
Isabelle: "I describe it as Yin and Yang. Mitch is very calm and relaxed person. His energy is very grounding which is excellent for me with all my travel and life changes that often happen at the drop of a hat! I think that I have helped push him to chase his dreams and offered encouragement and confidence when he’s needed it most."
Mitch: "Neither of us takes life too seriously and we have a lot in common. I mean, as long as it’s fun it’s all good, right?."
You are both incredibly lucky in that your work is your passion. What advice you would give someone who wanted to chase their dreams?
Isabelle: "We all start somewhere. My advice is to follow your heart and don't let anyone deter you. Get very clear on what your goals are and make a plan of action. If you're looking to start acting make a list of all the thing you can do to get you there. Maybe it's enrolling in some acting classes or joining your local theatre company."
Mitch: "My advice to someone looking to live a creative life would be to have fun and enjoy the journey. It's so easy to get caught up and confuse your direction with social media at your finger tips. Define who you want to be, develop your own unique style and absorb as much as you can from other creatives to become your own."
If you had a life motto what would it be?
Mitch: "Don't wish for it, work for it! Yeah sure, sometimes things can just fall in your lap, but it will never feel as good and knowing that you earned it."
Isabelle: "Do what you love, have fun and make memories that last."
