You’re either a folder or a roller. Here are the CR styling team’s easy tips for packing effectively for your next getaway.
Think about the different outfit scenarios that you will have on your trip: breakfast, lunch,
dinner and evening dressing. Plan at least 5-6 outfits and try them on before you leave.
Make sure that tops will work across a number of different bottoms.
Versatility, naturally is key - pieces that can be dressed up or down.
An easy black dress, a pair of great jeans and a stripe T-shirt are must-pack pieces.
Make clever use of space by tightly rolling tanks and T-shirts, pants and lightweight outerwear.
It's space-saving, but also an effective anti-crease system.
If you’re packing crushable items like silk pieces then fold and pack them between layers
of tissue paper. When you arrive at your hotel and unpack, hang the pieces then
store away the tissue paper for your next destination. It really works –
because holidays are no time to be ironing.
It’s always best to save room and only pack a few light accessories - think fine jewellery pieces
that can be dressed down by day and dressed up at night. Sneakers are essential
for hitting the ground (and shops) running, and a pair of heels for stylish evenings.
Something secure and small like a cross-body bag will prove incredibly handy.
