TRAVEL ESSENTIALS FOR A STYLISH ISLAND GETAWAY
1. THE CLASSIC TRAVEL STAPLE
"A striped dress is the perfect summer piece for a Greek Island escape. I like to throw a nautical-inspired parka over the shoulder when the chilly breeze from the Aegean Sea sets in at dusk."
2. THE STATEMENT DRESS
"The first thing that goes into my suitcase is a dress that gets my heart racing – it’s one-piece dressing at its simplest. I favour those that can be worn effortlessly during the day with a pair of sandals, and then dressed up during the evening for dinner and drinks. Head-turning but versatile pieces are key when travelling – who has time to fuss over an outfit when there’s the most beautiful sunset in the world to experience from white-washed rooftops?"
"One of the easiest ways to travel light (but also travel in style) is to tap into the white-on-white trend. A summer in Santorini is a great excuse to make a statement in a chic, all-white ensemble and it can be as simple as teaming a pair of requisite cropped white jeans with your favourite white blouse or this lightweight parka."
4. ADD A DASH OF GREY
"If the thought of red wine and an all-white outfit makes you a teensy bit nervous, you can’t go wrong with throwing some lightweight grey pieces into the suitcase. A pale grey dress is a must-pack for me, pairing perfectly with this season’s inky navy or minimalist white accessories."
5. BE CHOOSY ABOUT YOUR SHOES
"The best part about planning a summer getaway is knowing that everything you (should) pack is light, easy, and fuss-free – right down to your shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, exploring and sightseeing in Santorini so a pair of sneakers as well as leather sandals you can wear with your more dressy pieces during the evening should have all your bases covered."
