Frames are a well-known favourite at Country Road. Not simply just for walls, there are a plethora of ways they can be styled throughout the home. Here stylist Megan Morton shows us how.
"I love the way a framed item (think ticket, moments, polaroids) can look so beautiful when used as an object, rather than simply on the wall. For this exact reason I build a slanted library ledges for each of my bookshelves so I can have a leaning styling moment that I can add to or change out when my mood or season changes."
"Sometimes the best things don’t need to be hung on the wall. There is a delicious spot leaning against the wall in the hallway where frames look wonderful. The only thing you need to remember is to put them clustered together and not the whole way down the wall. This makes it look considered and curated."
"Label your family’s towels or go one step further and label the use. Here I’ve used the words ‘bath’ and ‘beach’ in the same way you could add your family members names."
"Botanical pictures are one of the most easiest things to collect and due to their almost-weightlessness they are the one thing I buy from the Paris fleas. Here a pair of my favourites wall hung as art imitates the plant life around it in a corner of the sunroom."
"I love entertaining and often invite friends over for dessert. Here the lucite frames hold the menu and the smaller ones hold embroidered initials as place settings. Mixing modern lucite with old fashioned embroidery creates a whole new tablescape."
