Roles & Responsibilities

Executive

Our Executive Management Committee (EMC) comprises the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Group General Manager Human Resources, Group General Manager Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, and the Managing Directors of each brand within the Country Road Group (i.e. Country Road, Trenery, Witchery & Mimco). The EMC leads implementation of the Company's visions, values and corporate strategies.

Human Resources

Great people are the foundation of our business. Our HR department works with senior leaders to develop strategies designed to ensure we have  Inspired and Engaged People. Our People strategy focuses on four key areas; Health, Safety, Flexibility & Wellbeing, Aligned Performance & Reward, Build Capability & Succession, and Attract Talented People. Payroll is an integral part of HR's role - it is responsible for customer-focused payroll services to stores and Support Centre.

Marketing & Digital Operations

Our Marketing department communicates the Country Road brand vision to our customers clearly, effectively, and efficiently via visual merchandising, customer relationship marketing, direct marketing, advertising, communications, and public relations. The Digital Operations team is responsible for managing our online shopping website and customer service; this includes styling, photography and retouching.

Finance

The commercial and financial hub of our business, the Country Road Finance division covers accounts and treasury, taxation, inventory control, financial reporting, insurance & risk management, and corporate governance.

IT

Operating as a strategic partner to the business through the use of technology to support key company objectives, our IT department provides quality IT systems to assist, simplify, and improve our business processes. It aims to control costs, deliver quality services, and develop systems according to the needs of the business.

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

The Supply Chain Division manages all our complex supply chain activities. The team ensures our product is always delivered efficiently and on time to our stores and customers. This includes controlling shipping, logistics, and back-of-house.

Product Design & Development

Our Product Design & Development team sets the strategic design direction for our business. The team is responsible for designing all apparel, homewares, and accessories, maintaining a consistent Country Road handwriting across all our divisions and brands. In addition to design and development, the division is also responsible for garment technology and fabric sourcing.

Sourcing/Fabric

Our Sourcing department makes sure our vendor base has the capacity to make our product. The team focuses on future needs as well as verifying that current vendors meet our quality assurance standards in accordance with the high ethical principles we set.

Retail Operations

Retail Operations provides stores and concession teams with all of the tools, processes, training, and support required to sell our product. This division is responsible for customer service and in-store merchandising.

Merchandise

Our Merchandise team plans product requirements and buys the ranges for stores. Ensuring the right product is in the right store, at the right time, it focuses on ranging product across stores and forecasting sales to deliver financial results. Department roles include planning, buying, and production.

Visual Merchandising

Visual Merchandising creates visual branding and implements brand consistency across all Country Road Retail and Concession stores. Maintaining a balance between the commercial and creative aspects of our visual merchandising, the department is accountable for producing and applying all store displays, promotional materials, product merchandising, and window design.

Graphic Design

Our Graphic Design team creates design solutions and finished artwork for all Country Road Visual Communications, including visual merchandising and marketing collateral. The team also develops print artwork across all divisions and sustains a uniform handwriting across the brands.
